In our continuing quest to reach new levels of quality and provide unsurpassed service we invest in state-of-the-art technology and equipment,
investments that streamline our production capacity and improve our manufacturing facility. These investments enable us to manufacture more
cost-effectively and efficiently, and ensure our high standards of quality are maintained. Our innovative approach to manufacturing and dedication
to continual improvement allows us to maximise the value we deliver to our clients.
Plastic Extrusions has a state-of-the-art Gunter AB/SP-BB machine, enabling us to further extend our service capabilities and quality. The modular
system has introduced more flexibility in the production process as well as our product range, allowing us to produce a wide variety of liners from
square bottomed to bottle-shaped liners of various sizes. Our production capacity has further increased with the machine's incredible production
performance of up to 20 cycles per minute for IBC liners, helping ensure our customers expectations are always met, and then exceeded.
At Plastic Extrusions we have an established culture of
innovation. In 1998 we patented a neck liner that (in
combination with a specifically designed sealing unit)
could be heat sealed with no creasing, eliminating
moisture transmission, pilferage and contamination
through the top of the liner.
This neck liner has been used with great success in
packaging moisture-sensitive products such as sugar,
chrome sand, rutile and zircon; as well as group three
hazardous goods such as sodium di-chromate, arsenic
trioxide and phthallic anhydride into semi-bulk FIBC
bags.
In today's fast-paced, competitive market the leading companies of tomorrow will do more than simply deliver a product. These leaders will be the
companies who can out-think and out-imagine the competition, continually striving to improve products and break free from the paradigms of
accepted wisdom. As a definitive example of this approach Plastic Extrusions looks set to retain their position as a market leader in Southern Africa
and continue to set new benchmarks in the FIBC industry. Through the use of cutting-edge technology and an emphasis on innovation, Plastic
Extrusions has made ground-breaking improvements to their processes and successfully met the challenges and needs of customers such as Illovo
